Speak up: It can solve a crime
If you can help Bermuda Police Service solve any of the crimes featured in our series, then please call either the Serious Crime Unit on 247-1340 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477 or at www.crimestoppers.bm.
Crime Stoppers will never reveal your identity, nor will you have disclose your name or any other personal details, even if your tip leads to a cash reward. If you are willing to give evidence in court but fear for your own or your familys safety, police can help.
Bermuda now has a Justice Protection Programme which can provide overseas relocation to witnesses in need of protection from an identified threat. Other measures to ensure safety can be provided by Police and the Island has a Witness Care Unit, run by prosecutors, for anyone giving evidence in a criminal trial.
For details of these schemes, call the DPPs office on 296-1277 or Bermuda Police Service on 295-0011.
