Heavy trading in KeyTech shares

More than $1 million worth of shares were traded on the Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday as 252,700 KeyTech shares were traded.

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index rose by 8.46 points as Butterfield Bank and KeyTech shares rose.

The Index ended up 0.81 percent at 1,052.25 on trading of 257,700 shares worth $1.47 million.

That was largely the result of the KeyTech shares changing hands. They closed up 30 cents at $14.32.

Butterfield saw 5,000 shares trade at $1.15, up a penny.
