21-year-old charged with premeditated murder
A 21-year-old man was this morning charged with the murder of shooting victim Jahmiko LeShore.
Roger Lightbourne Jr appeared at Magistrates Court but did not enter a plea as the case must go before the Supreme Court.
Mr Lightbourne, whose address was not given, was charged with the premeditated unlawful killing of 26-year-old Mr LeShore on March 1 last year.
He also stands accused of using a firearm on the same date while committing an indictable offence, namely premeditated murder, and knowingly handling a firearm without lawful authority between July 7, 2010 and March 3, 2011.
The matter before Magistrate Juan Wolffe was adjourned for mention on February 17 and Mr Lightbourne, dressed in a grey sweatshirt and khaki pants, was remanded in custody.
