Q: What types of devices use SD cards?

A: SD and other memory cards first became popular among photographers for use in their digital cameras. Use of these cards in cameras marked the beginning of the digital age of photography. Today, the use of SD cards as storage devices has grown exponentially. We must bear in mind however these cards were not intended to be replacements for hard drives.

Some of the devices that use SD cards to capture data would be:

Digital Cameras

Mobile Phones

Camcorders

MP3 Players

Many printers can support the use of memory cards and printing photos has never been easier; just insert and print. Televisions are now coming equipped with SD and USB slots making data transfer seamless.
