Well-known cycle shop, Oleander Cycles, has now added jet skis to its offerings, after signing an exclusive deal with Kawasaki jet skis.

“I am thrilled to announce our deal with Kawasaki,” said General Manager Gregory Bluck. “We love their products and I’m so happy we’re able to take advantage of our clear blue water to use their incredible jet skis.”

Better known for selling and renting bikes, Mr Bluck said the company is excited for the change, adding that with summer on the way, jet skis offer a cheaper alternative to owning a boat.

The jet skis arrived earlier this month with one of Kawasaki’s most popular Ultra LX model, and will be available for purchase at Oleander’s Paget and Hamilton location. The Ultra line is best known for its comfort and storage capabilities, along with three-person seating.

“What makes the LX model different is the design,” the company said in a statement. “For the first time ever Kawasaki has paired a powerful marine engine with four splash deflector ridges across the bottom of the bow. This design minimises spray and gives a smooth and stable ride no matter what the conditions.”

“There isn’t much difference riding a bike than riding a jet ski,” added Mr Bluck. “At Oleander we live to ride, no matter what it is! I’m just viewing the sea now as a new road to explore.”
