Whitney Institute, Royal Palms Hotel unite to promote tourism industry as a career
Whitney Institute students were given an insight into life in the hospitality industry after linking up with Royal Palms Hotel.
The hotels co-manager Sonia Whitter volunteered at Whitney as part of the Bermuda Hospitality Institutes Hospitality Programme, which promotes the industry as a viable career.
The programme aims to help primary and middle school students decide whether they want to pursue a career in hospitality by giving them practical lessons and teaching about the significance of the industry.
Whitney students course culminated in a breakfast at Royal Palms Hotel, where they were given the chance to practise what they learned from the programme.
