A teenager was hurt in a road collision in the City of Hamilton around 3.30am on Saturday.

A police spokesman was unable yesterday to state what type of vehicle was involved, and said details about the collision remain unclear.

However, he said, a 19-year-old man from Pembroke was injured, and was assisted by police and first responders before being taken to hospital by ambulance.

He had been discharged by yesterday evening, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
