A car and motorcycle sparked rush hour traffic delays by crashing on North Shore Road on Monday.

The incident happened in Hamilton Parish, near the junction with Cottage Hill Road, at about 5.20pm, causing serious damage to the motorcycle.

Police say the 29-year-old Warwick man riding the motorcycle was taken to King Edward Memorial Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be serious. The 46-year-old Pembroke man driving the car was not injured.
