  • West Hamilton Holdings chairman Michael Collier

Career banker Michael Collier can add another chairmanship to his CV as West Hamilton Holdings has appointed him to head up its board of directors this week following the company’s AGM.

Mr Collier, who retired as president and CEO of Butterfield Bank in 1996, also currently serves as the chairman of The Ascendant Group of Companies and the Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd along with several other international companies.

West Hamilton Holdings also appointed Duncan Saville, a chartered accountant and director of ICM Ltd, to serve as a director for the company.

The company owns 69 and 71 Pitts Bay Road, which is currently under construction to build four new office buildings and residential space along with underground parking.

West Hamilton also announced the retirement of directors David AJG White and Reid Young.

“The board expresses its sincere appreciation for the distinguished service provided by both Mr White during his 30 years on the board as well as Mr Young’s 16 years service as a director,” said the company in a statement. “Mr White led the company successfully through the transition of its operations from a bread-making business to a property and investment company.”
