Royal Gazette, Gorhams launch new contest for eagle-eyed readers
Oscar the Ostrich has buried his head in The Royal Gazette — and finding him could win you a gift certificate from Gorhams Ltd.
Oscar is hiding somewhere in The Royal Gazette today and tomorrow, and on our website, www.royalgazette.com, on Friday.
If you can find him on all three days, cut him out or print the web page and drop them off at The Royal Gazette Ltd on Par-La-Ville Road, The Royal Gazette Stationary Store on Reid Street or at Gorhams on St Johns Road.
Entries must be in by 5pm on Friday to qualify for Saturdays drawing of a $100 Gorhams gift certificate.
Even more gift certificates will be given away next week, when two more contests will be held for eagle-eyed readers.
Gorhams director Rod Farrington said the competition is being held to celebrate Fathers Day and the companys new overseas shipping service.
While we have almost 80,000 items in stock, sometimes people want items we dont have in, Mr Farrington said. Thats where Oscar comes in.
He explained that Oscar stands for overseas cargo and reliability, and is a part of Gorhams express order centre. The centre allows customers to order items that Gorhams doesnt have in stock through their True Value distribution centre in the US.
Round two of the competition starts this weekend. Oscar will be hidden in the newspaper on Saturday and Monday, June 11. He can be found on our website, www.royalgazette.com, on June 12.
The deadline for that round will be 5pm on June 12, with a draw held the following day.
The final round will see Oscar hidden in the newspaper on Wednesday, June 13 and Thursday, June 14. He will also be on our website on June 15.
The winner of the draw will take home a grand prize a $500 gift certificate from Gorhams.
Make sure that you find Oscar on all three days because entries without all three will not be considered.
