The Bermuda Perfumery received international kudos this week as travel writer Peter Greenberg called it the best place in the world for perfume.

Appearing on CBS This yesterday to promote his new book, ‘The Best Places for Everything,’ Mr Greenberg praised the East End business, and in particular Isabelle Ramsey-Brackstone who runs the St George’s business.

Asked by hosts about where in the world to go for perfume, Mr Greenberg said: “You’ve got to find it in Bermuda because there’s a woman there, Isabella, a wonderful woman there named Isabella who actually blends the perfumes from the natural scents of the flowers of the Island and you get to do it too. Great perfume in Bermuda.”

Responding to the news yesterday, Mrs Ramsey Brackstone said she was thrilled and flattered by the news.

“It’s really fantastic. It feels like validation for a lot of really, really hard work,” she said.

“I have met Peter a couple of times and I know he likes one particular scent which he orders, but this was still a surprise. I’m extremely flattered.”
