Walter Roban was this morning sworn in as Transport Minister following the resignation of Deputy Premier Derrick Burgess.

Mr Roban, who resigned from Cabinet several months ago amid a storm of controversy over a planning issue, is the Island's third Transport Minister in less than a year.

Mr Burgess resigned last night following news reports of a physical altercation with Estates Minister Michael Scott.
