If you didn’t get your fill of party rocking at last weekend’s White Party, then tonight’s event may be just what you’ve been waiting for.

Rowan Ramotar, of Wild Apache Productions, will hold a thank you for supporters who made the White Party a success.

The Appreciation Party, at Gombeys in Clearwater, is free before 1am; admission is $10 after. Mr Ramotar said the event would be great for people who wanted to have a great time, without spending loads of money.

“Every year I do one as a gesture of my appreciation to my loyal supporters and those who just want to go out and have a good time on a budget.

“This promises to be a night filled with all genres of music from reggaton to calypso, from dance hall to fist-pumping techno.”

DJs Aztecs, JulzZ, Prestige, Prezential Elite and others will be playing at the 18 and older event. The festivities will kick off at 10pm and end at 3am.

“We urge everyone to come out and have blast on us,” Mr Ramotar said.

Looking for a chance to taste Scottish cuisine, watch the tossing of the caber or see a Highland dancing competition? Then the Island’s first ever Highland Games may be the perfect pick for tonight.

The event, put on by the Caledonian Society of Bermuda, will be held at Sandys 360 from 3.30pm until 8.30pm. Admission is $5 for adults and free for children.

If you would prefer to be on the water this weekend, football team Flanagans Onions F C, is holding its Euro 2012 booze cruise tomorrow night.

Sport supporters are invited to wear their favourite football team jersey, enjoy great music and an open bar. Tickets, $50, are available by e-mailing cosgravealan@gmail.com.

Tomorrow night will also be the last performance of the Bermuda Musical and Dramatic Society’s Shaken Not Stirred. The event featuring the Daylesford Singers will start at 8pm. Tickets, $25, can be bought online at www.bmds.bm or from the box office.

Also happening this weekend is Chewstick’s youth open mic night, Twigs. Under 18s are encouraged to come out and share their rapping, singing, dancing or poetry talents with the public from 6pm until 9pm. Adults can attend only if accompanied by a young person in their lives.

Entry is $5, but additional donations will be accepted toward the Chewstick Foundation.
