Suspected impaired drivers arrested

A 55-year-old Pembroke man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving after police noticed his erratic driving.

Police stopped the man, who was travelling on a motorcycle, around 9.50 on Friday night on Parsons Road. The rider appeared intoxicated, leading officers to arrest him.

The man was detained in police custody after failing the alco-analyser court, and will later appear in court.

In a seperate incident a 53-year-old Warwick woman was arrested at 12.20am on Sunday morning on suspicion of impaired driving.

Police spotted a car moving erratically along South Road in Southampton and stopped the vehicle. The driver appeared to be intoxicated and officers placed her under arrest.

The woman failed the alco-analyser test and was detained in police custody in anticipation of a court appearance.
