Perfect summer wines for the beach
Does anyone else feel like they blinked and missed most of June? It must be because there is so much going on in Bermuda - here is the latest:
l The Bermuda Diabetes Association are hosting Childhood and Adolescent Obesity - the Underlying Risk Factors, a free presentation at BUEI tonight at 7pm. The speaker is Margaret Demment from Cornell University and the subject will be of interest to anyone working in the health care field, physicians, pharmacists, nurses, teachers, fitness professionals, social workers and parents. Light refreshments will be served.
l Looking for that perfect wine to take to the beach, boat or BBQ? BSoA are hosting a Wines of the Americas Wine and Cheese Tasting at BSoA Galleries, City Hall on Friday, June 29. Doors open at 5.30pm and the tasting begins at 6pm sharp. Michael Robinson of Burrows Lightbourn will present a selection of summer wines, paired with European speciality cheeses from Supermart. l The Centre on Philanthropy is hosting their inaugural Family Community Day at the Botanical Gardens on Saturday, June 30.
