Hiscox Festival set for next weekend

The Hiscox 11 and under Celebrity Cricket Festival will be held at the National Sports Centre next Saturday.

The East against West team starts at 9.30am, while the celebrities take on the Under-11 national team at 1pm.

Senior national team player Lionel Cann, local runners Ashley and Chris Estwanik and top young athlete Justin Donawa are included in the celebrities team.

There will be free children’s entertainment during the day including face painting, bouncy castle and slide.

There will be a raffle and all proceeds will go to the BCB Pee Wee Cricket Programme.

Lloyd Fray, president of the Bermuda Cricket Board, said: “The BCB is excited to partner once again to provide a fun family day of cricket for the community and to raise money for the BCB’s FREE Pee Wee Cricket Programme.”
