Bermudas national team finished the Caribbean Island Swimming Championships on a high note by increasing their medal tally to 34.
Jesse Washington set the tone on Wednesdays final evening of competition by winning gold in the 50 metre freestyle with a time of 25.53 seconds, breaking Gerri Mewetts national record that had stood since 1989.
Washingtons time also crushed the Championship record that was 26.28 seconds.
Veteran Lisa Blackburn won Bermuda second gold of the night in the 100 metre breaststroke to set a new Championship record.
Youngster Julian Fletcher completed a trio of golds for the Island by winning the 100 metre breaststroke, setting another competition record.
Next in the pool was Stephanie Myles in the 800 free who claimed Bermudas fourth gold of the evening.
The final event for Bermudas swimmers was the 200 metre individual medley with Nic Patterson, Stephanie Myles, Lisa Blackburn and Julian Fletcher all in action.
And it was Blackburn who won another gold for Bermuda, setting a Championship record in the process.
Fletcher also pulled off a podium finish after coming second in his race.
National swim coach Ben Smith said: As the national coach I am so proud that every one of the 10 swimmers scored in the meet and swam their best.
The national programme has been producing very well over the years but this was an amazing experience and shows what progress we have made at all levels.
