Q: What is copyright Infringement?

A: Copyright infringement is the use of content such as videos, artwork, music, and other proprietary works without having gained permission from the owner.

The actual state of the content is irrelevant — a book manuscript for example that has not been published, a photo taken that appears on a website, all belong to someone.

In today’s world of digital engagement, the likelihood of copyright infringement occurring has increased exponentially.

Many users are genuinely unaware that they are performing an illegal act every time they access and download content from sites that share content without prior approval from the owner.

Next time take a minute to ask yourself why that song or movie you’ve about to download is free; some freebies are too good to be true.
