TECH TIP OF THE WEEK
Q: Why wont my laptop battery hold a charge?
A: Have you noticed that the life of your laptops battery has been decreasing over time or wont hold a charge at all?
This could be attributed to age, but more than likely, its due to user negligence.
How many of you use your laptop with your battery in and your power cord at the same time? Id venture to guess at least 90 percent of all laptop users use both power sources simultaneously on a regular basis. This is the quickest and most efficient way to damage or destroy your laptop battery.
Using the a/c adaptor (power cord) while the battery is inserted exposes the battery to prolonged heat exposure that ultimately causes damage to the battery. Make a conscious choice to try and use one or the other as often as possible and you could save the life of your battery.
