Somerset cruised to a convincing 10 wicket win to regain the Cup Match trophy at Somerset Cricket Club this afternoon.

Chris Douglas hammered a Kyle Hodsoll delivery for four to complete a crushing victory and send the home fans into ecstasy.

Starting the day on 100 for two, Somerset reached 272 all out on the back of an unbeaten 57 from skipper Jekon Edness.

Colt Greg Maybury then tore through the St George's batting, taking five wickets as the holders slumped to 79 all out, a lead of just 27.

Terryn Fray and Douglas guided their side to victory with a minimum of fuss in less than six overs.
