Sims heads for another top five finish
Michael Sims sensational mid-season form continued this week as put himself in position for another top five finish on the e-Golf Tour.
Heading into todays final round, the Bermuda pro was tied for fourth at the Championship at Woodside Plantation tournament in Aiken, South Carolina, having put together three sub-par rounds.
Sims went into yesterdays third round tied for second but saw his one-under-71 coupled with leader Brian Duncans second successive 66 drop him two places.
Six shots behind American Duncan, Sims would need to go low today in order to challenge for victory.
However, having carded a historic 59 at the Southern Open three weeks ago, his fellow pros wont be ruling him out yer.
Georgia-based Sims carded a 66 himself on Thursday, following a 68 in the first round on Wednesday.
He now stands on 205 and Duncan on 199.
At the Southern Open he lost in a play-off and a week later tied for fifth in the River Landing Open.
The tour took a break last week.
