Dear Sir,

I find it very interesting that the Minister and the Health Council state that they want to reduce the cost of healthcare. With the new legislation, I will incur extra costs which will have to be passed on to the patient. I would like to know what has been the cost to the taxpayer for the Health Council which includes salaries, rents and office expenses. There have been so many little fiefdoms set up under the PLP and I was intrigued by your correspondent who stated that when the British Empire was in existence they had 1,000 civil servants for 300 million in India, and we have in excess of 6,000 for 65,000 population. The sooner we get rid of this spend, spend, spend administration and reduce the Civil Service by attrition, the better the country will be and the sooner we will be able to reduce the colossal debt caused by it.
