POA chairman denies using threatening behaviour

Prison Officers’ Association chairman Craig Clarke has denied using threatening behaviour towards a police officer during Cup Match celebrations.

Mr Clarke, 43, was charged with the offence yesterday, in Magistrates’ Court.

The incident is said to have occurred during BeachFest celebrations at Horseshoe Bay beach on Thursday, August 2.

Acting Senior Magistrate Tyrone Chin set the case down for mention on October 9 and released the Devonshire resident on $1,000 bail.
