Bermuda-based Maiden Holdings announced that it will issue a quarterly cash dividend of eight cents per share of common stock. The dividend will be payable on October 15, 2012 to shareholders of record as of October 1, 2012.

This week, the company reported $14.5 million net income for the second quarter of 2012 compared to a net loss of $24.4 million during the same period last year.

Earnings per share for the second quarter were 27 cents, missing analysts’ expectations of 29 cents per share.
