Top Model winners Tarmar Awobotu and Aaliyah Ditchburn spent a week on the Island courtesy of the Department of Tourism.

Miss Awobotu was named the winner of the UK competition this year; Miss Ditchburn took home the editorial honour.

Their trip to Bermuda on July 31 was one of many prizes attached to their win and was organised by Daisy’s boutique owner Dawn Zuill.

While here, Miss Awobotu, 27, and Miss Ditchburn, 16, met with Bermudian models who also participated in the Top Model Worldwide 2012 competition Julia Lines, Katherine Arnfield and Sophie Fraser-Smith. Miss Lines placed first runner-up.

The visiting models were given a $1000 shopping spree by Daisy’s during their trip.

Ms Awobotu, a native of Nigeria, said she was “really excited to be visiting Bermuda and meeting the people” despite concerns from her family and friends that she may get “lost in the triangle”.

Both thanked sponsors the Bermuda Department of Tourism and the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.
