Child in hospital after near-drowning at beach
A three-year-old is in hospital following a near-drowning at Admiralty House beach this afternoon.
Police and first responders were called to the Pembroke beach around 3.40pm.
Said a Police spokesman: "It appears that the child was taken out of the water after almost drowning after swallowing sea water.
"The child was breathing however he was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for further treatment and presently is in the Intensive Care Unit where he is listed in stable condition."
