Sandys man denies assault charges
A 44-year-old man has been charged with unlawfully wounding, assaulting and causing actual bodily harm in Magistrates Court, among other charges.
Leonard Swan of Seawall Drive, Sandys, pleaded not guilty to two accounts of unlawfully wounding and assault with actual bodily harm.
He also entered a guilty plea to two lesser counts of threatening words and offensive words.
According to Prosecutor Susan Mulligan, Mr Swan wounded and assaulted Maceela Berkeley and Selwyn McDonald Berkeley on August 3. The other charges occurred at a later date.
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner ordered the defendant to be remanded in custody until his trial, which appears before the courts in October.
