A guest worker found dead in a Sandys home last Friday was yesterday named as Alexandre Gosselin of Canada.

Mr Gosselin, 23, was discovered in a collapsed state by a resident of the property in Morgan’s Hill shortly after 12.30pm on Friday. He was pronounced dead by an on-call doctor at 1.15pm.

Police said in a statement last night: “Foul play is not suspected and the Bermuda Police Service extends our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.”

Last night on behalf of the Executive Committee and members of the Sandys Boat Club, Brad Woodings offered our condolences to Mr Gosselin’s family and friends

“Alex was one of our sailing instructors and was well liked by all of our Club Members,” Mr Woodings said. “He was an inspiration and mentor, and touched the lives of many of our young sailors.

“He will be deeply missed by all. A memorial service is being planned and details will be provided when finalised.”
