Reaching out: Faith Deliverance Centre on Fentons Drive, Pembroke
Community outreach is important in the community during these difficult times that many are facing today. Many are struggling with no jobs, food, medication and other resources that they need.
Faith Deliverance Center (FDC) on Fentons Drive, Pembroke is reaching out to people in their community. This outreach church is pastored by Rev David Lambe and comes under the New Testament Church of God, Bermuda where Dr Lloyd E Duncan is the bishop overseeing seven churches.
In the community, FDC provides a free health screening every Saturday, a clothing market that has giveaways once a month, a food pantry, newsletter, football outreach, medication purchase, house visits and more.
Pastor Lambe said: The bottom line for me as a pastor is to see lives transformed.
Faith Deliverance Centre is an area where people are living in lost cost housing. They have a youth programme with 30 to 40 young people and most of the youth are unchurched. The youth are fed at this programme.
Pastor Lambe adds: The most immediate impact is to know somebody cares and know somebody is there.
We are a church thats very much concerned about our community. If it has to be reaching out to one thats what we will do.
