LF Wade International Airport has no official plans so far to close over the weekend, and BA have said they will fly on Sunday if it remains open.

General Manager Aaron Adderley said: “The airport will continue to assess weather developments as they occur, and if or when it becomes necessary to close the airport, we’ll make that decision then. For the time being, the airport remains open.”

The Saturday British Airways service will arrive early, however, coming in at 4.30pm and departing at 6.20pm.

The status of Sunday’s flights has yet to be confirmed, however a British Airways spokesman said that if the airport was open then BA would fly.

“Should the airport be open on Sunday, the British Airways Sunday flights will operate,” said statement released this evening. “Passengers are requested now to wait until tomorrow to hear if the airport will be open thus enabling flights to operate.”
