Funeral for Thelma Gordon
Thelma Gladys Louise Gordon was laid to rest at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, King Street, in Hamilton on Sunday.
Adventist Pastor Kenneth Minors got a big chuckle from the congregation when he wittily remarked that he was not surprised the church was full when he took into account that Nana Gordon was born the ninth child in a family of 19 siblings in the family of Ernest and Florence Moore, late of Spanish Point.
An active member of the church, her untimely death was three weeks short of her 70th birthday, leaving daughters Cheyenne Fubler and sons, Peter, Aklbert and Andre Goron.
Matriarch of Thelmas surviving siblings is well-kown Eleanor (Molly) Brown the Angle Street restaurateur and recently retired owner and operator of Hubies Bar and entertainment centre, also in Angle Street.
