Ministers Big Apple mission to promote Bermuda

Tourism Minister Wayne Furbert took to the Big Apple this week as part of a brief media campaign promoting the Island.
Mr Furbert attended represented Bermuda at two events in New York with Conde Nast Traveler; a 25th anniversary celebration for the magazine and a Readers Choice luncheon.
Taking part in the anniversary gala were New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and entrepreneur Richard Branson.
The Tourism Minister also appeared on the WPIX Morning News promoting the Island, and the new So Much More campaign.
He also taped and interview with Americas Luxury Marketing Council, a community of CEOs and CMOs in the field of luxury marketing, which includes members such as American Express, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and Neman Marcus.
Mr Furbert described the trip as extremely productive, saying: New York City is such a crucial market for this destination, and this was a great opportunity to come in and build some good will and exposure.
