Devonshire woman charged with conspiracy to import heroin
A woman accused of importing heroin was released on bail.
Shakeda Davis, 28, of School Drive, Devonshire, along with Winston Burgess of Middle Town Drive, Pembroke, was charged on September 7 with conspiring to import 154.18g of diamorphine.
The conspiracy occurred between an unknown date and April 24.
She was also charged with possessing 78.73g of cannabis and 1.35g of cannabis resin with intent to supply on another date.
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner released Ms Davis on $40,000 bail plus one surety.
Mr Warner also instructed that the defendant must be monitored by an electronic monitoring device 24 hours a day, and must report to Hamilton Police Station between 12pm and 2pm daily.
Ms Davis must not leave her residence otherwise.
