  • On the run: During the Third Annual Inter School Fitness Challenge last Wednesday students from Bermuda Institute, Berkeley Institute, CedarBridge Academy, Mount St Agnes, Bermuda High School for Girls, Saltus and Warwick Academy underwent fitness tests for The Challenge.

  • Winners: Shannon Wade and Evin Mosley won the best overall costume at last week's Halloween Costume dress day at Mount St Agnes.

Warwick Academy were crowned the 2012 Middle School overall swim champions. Warwick accumulated an impressive 307 points. Saltus Grammar School finished a distant second with 251 points. Bermuda High School finished in third place.

UNDER-13 GIRLS’ DIVISION

1) BHS — 75

2) Saltus — 70

3) Warwick Academy — 58

Maddy Moore of Warwick Academy won the individual medley and the backstroke. BHS’ Sophie Clare won the breaststroke while teammate Megan Lau won the freestyle. Warwick’s Emma Harvey won the butterfly.

OVER-13 GIRLS’ DIVISION

1) Saltus — 78

2) Warwick Academy — 72

3) BHS — 55

Shannon Hassell of Saltus won the backstroke and freestyle. Teammate Jessie Thomas won the butterfly. Paige Bruton of Warwick Academy won the individual medley and Hannah Grabham from BHS won the breaststroke.

OVERALL GIRLS

1) Saltus — 148

2) Warwick Academy — 140

3) BHS — 130

UNDER-13 BOYS

1) Warwick Academy — 80

2) Saltus — 64

3) Somersfield — 48

Joshua Irvine from Somersfield Academy was the big winner, taking home top prize in both the individual medley and the butterfly. Warwick’s Jude Moseley won the breaststroke, Warwick’s Kumaru Tannock the freestyle and Saltus’ Dylna Somerville won the backstroke.

Jessie Washington from Sandys won the individual medley as well as the freestyle. Aaron Rego of Warwick Academy won the butterfly and the backstroke. Warwick’s Brittan Moseley won the breaststroke.
