E-waste day on Saturday
The Ministry of Public Works will host their third annual e-Waste Recycling Day this Saturday at the Tynes Bay Waste to Energy Facility.
Between 9am and 5pm, the public is encouraged to bring old and worn out electronics, such as cell phones, printers, televisions and computers, to be recycled.
Last year, the Waste Management Department exported 18 containers of air conditioners, 26 containers of vehicle batteries, eleven containers of motor oil and 17 containers of e-Waste.
All recyclable materials collected are sent to a US Environmental Protection Agency approved recycling facility.
