How many people have diabetes?
Do you have ten friends on the Island? If so the odds are that at least two of them have diabetes. Healthcare workers in this field believe that as many as a quarter of Bermudians have this condition.
The most recent statistics are in the Bermuda Health Council’s Health Survey of Adults in Bermuda 2011. In this document 10.9 percent of the respondents said a doctor had diagnosed them with diabetes.
