The Nathaniel Dett Chorale has withdrawn from next year’s Bermuda Festival of the Performing Arts.

The world renowned singers performed at President Barack Obama’s inauguration celebration and events honouring Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu.

They were due to perform here on January 30.

"It's very unfortunate that the Chorale has had to withdraw," said the festival’s artistic director Karen Pollard.

"We know festival goers will be disappointed but we hope to be able to feature the Nathaniel Dett Chorale when they regain their footing in the future."

Tickets to the festival go on sale on Monday and can be purchased online at www.bermudafestival.org and at Bermudatix ticket centres All Wrapped Up and Fabulous Fashions.
