Police are investigating a two-vehicle accident that landed a 17-year-old auxiliary cyclist in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, where he is listed in stable condition.

The accident occurred around 7.45pm on Wednesday on Middle Road, in Southampton, near the junction with Tribe Road 2.

According to a Police spokesman, the young man was “seriously injured”, and inquiries are continuing.

Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is urged to contact Pc Jason Ming at the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.
