A $5,000 quarterly tourism video prize has been awarded to local videographer Alia Hamza — and the next round of the competition is open to local residents.
Ms Hamzas piece, featuring singer Joy Barnum, is up on the video sharing site Vimeo, and will be on YouTube and the Department of Tourism site.
The music is Joys song Island Home and viewers are treated to the beauty that makes Bermuda such an appealing holiday destination with our beaches, lush greenery and friendly people, Tourism Minister Wayne Furbert said.
By the competition guidelines, videos must target would-be visitors, showing why they should come to the Island, with positive images and scenes.
Clips must be HD quality and under two minutes, without product marketing or offensive content. Written proof of ownership or copyright release for music is also required.
The next deadline for submissions is February 13, 2013. E-mail entries to emevans-caines@gov.bm.
