A spokesman said yesterday: The Vulnerable Person Unit is currently investigating the alleged assault of a 13-year-old female student by a school employee.
The female employee was taken into police custody in connection with the matter and has since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Meanwhile, a spokeswoman for Bermuda Institute has pledged the schools full cooperation with police.
A statement was released late yesterday by the Communication Director of the Bermuda Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.

Ms Holder added: The Bermuda Conference has been a part of the Bermuda community for more than 100 years, with the Bermuda Institute of Seventh-day Adventists offering Christian education for the Bermuda public for more than 70 years.
