Smooth out the road

Dear Sir,

May I comment on road work being carried out in the parish of Southampton.

For the last few months, road improvement has been attempted in the Frank's Bay area of Southampton. Many times commuters have had to wait at the traffic lights as the work has progressed. This has been necessary to control the traffic as the persons carry out their tasks attempting to improve the road's surface.

However, much to my dismay, the result of the work carried out has left commuters with an uneven, rougher surface to travel. My suspension, along with my worn out back, cringe every time we approach the area. Travelling over this "improved" stretch of road is a nightmare.

Who is responsible for this work, and who is paying for it? The result seems not to be justified by the means.

Mr acting Editor, on behalf of my car and my back, thank-you for letting us vent!

SMOOTH STRETCH
