A Westgate prisoner currently serving a 24-year sentence — 12 years for serious sexual assault and another 12 years for aggravated burglary — will spend extra three months in jail after being convicted of receiving drugs.
In Magistrates’ Court this morning, Raymond Kidd, 22, pleaded guilty to receiving one gram cannabis which had been sneaked into the prison.
Prosecutor Carrington Mahoney told the court the offence took place on July 24.
