Stars hand PHC scare
PHC, the league leaders and defending champions, dropped their first points of the season after being held to a draw by Dandy Stars last weekend at Warwick Academy.
PHC were forced to come from behind, scoring three second-half goals to earn a share of the spoils and maintain their unbeaten streak.
The prolific Aaliyah Nolan netted a hat-trick to spearhead PHC’s fightback while Leah Smith, Zahra Gibbons and Donte Allen replied for Stars who nearly pulled off a huge upset.
In the remaining matches, CP Chicas and Somerset recorded resounding victories over Young Men’s Social Club and Hamilton Parish.
Chicas thumped Social Club 8-0 in a heavily lopsided contest.
The home team had a commanding 5-0 lead at the half and never looked back.
LeiLanni Nesbeth led the charge for Chicas with four goals, Dani Watson added a brace while Jaden Masters and Rayni Maybury scored one each.
Recording the day’s biggest victory was Somerset who thrashed Parish 13-1.
Deshae Darrell and Tschana Wade each scored four goals for the West Enders, Jya Ratteray-Smith grabbed a hat-trick while Dazhja Greaves added a brace.
Parish replied through Asreal Basden.
