Shares of Butterfield Bank were down 45 cents, or 1.63 per cent, at $27.11 on the New York Stock Exchange.

There were no trades on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index, which was unchanged at 1,961.4. The BSX Insurance Index was up 23.05 points, or 1.36 per cent, at 1,716.35.

In other news, One Communications Ltd repurchased 9,700 of its shares on August 30 at an average price of $3.75 for immediate cancellation.
