Dr EF Gordon Square will be given a festive makeover from schoolchildren on Friday.

Pupils from Dellwood Middle School and Mount Saint Agnes Academy will decorate a tree at the corner of Court Street and Dundonald Street at 9am.

MSA principal Susan Moench said: “Our students appreciate the opportunity to be involved in this community event and we look forward to working with the students from Dellwood in decorating the tree in Dr EF Gordon Square.”

City of Hamilton chief operating officer Ed Benevides added: “North Hamilton is a historic area of the City and we’re delighted that, along with two of the neighbouring schools, we can bring additional festive cheer to this community.”

About ten pupils from each school will have breakfast together before decorating the tree.
