Biker injured in collision with police car

A police car was involved in a weekend collision with a bike.

Police said the crash happened near the Southampton Rangers Sports Club as the club closed for the night.

The rider of the bike, believed to be a 25-year-old man from Hamilton Parish, was injured and taken to hospital in an ambulance, but left before he was treated,

The incident happened in the area of Horseshoe Road and South Avenue about 10pm on Sunday.

Appealing for witnesses, a police spokesman said both vehicles were damaged in the crash,
