A record number of school students took part in the third annual Bermuda Strongman Competition on Saturday.

The event, organised by Find Your Grind, was held at the top floor of the Bull’s Head Car Park, featured 12 students competing.

An event spokesman said that all the schoolchildren competitors, including three Rotary youth exchange youngsters, had “dedicated themselves to the process and were trained and mentored by local gyms and trainers”.

He added that youth participation and mentoring had been a cornerstone of the event, which raises funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bermuda.
