Storm force gusts are expected to hit Bermuda overnight, the national security ministry warned.

Residents were asked to take “extra care” outside in the morning as the streets could be strewn with debris.

The ministry said a low pressure system around the island meant “gales with storm force gusts” were forecast.

A statement added: “The public are advised to use extra care and caution when moving around during the early morning hours as there may be debris on the streets.”
