All education staff will undergo performance appraisals as part of the blueprint for Bermuda’s public school system.

Education minister Diallo Rabain delivered an update on Plan 2022 at the House of Assembly today.

The plan does not specifically address the Progressive Labour Party’s bid to phase out middle schools but refers to “middle school-aged children”.

Mr Rabain said delivery plans will be posted on the Department of Education’s website, starting this month.

He described the project as an individual and collective priority and said: “Accountability is at the forefront for the delivery of Plan 2022.”
