A violence reduction programme is under way in Bermuda’s prisons, national security minister Wayne Caines told Parliament this morning.

The programme has been completed by six inmates in Westgate, Mr Caines said.

The four- to six-month programme is based on “cognitive, behavioural and social learning principles” and offers both group and individual therapy, Mr Caines said.
